“Help! Create New Folder is greyed out in my SharePoint 2010 list”. This question is asked a million times in various forums but surprisingly, its hard to find it on Google.
so here is the magical trick.
If you see this -> 
All you have do is navigate to your list settings page ->
and then select Advanced Settings
Select Yes to “Make “New Folder” command available?”
that’s it!
