Microsoft has today revealed something that was not quite known about the next version of SharePoint (SharePoint 2013). It is the SOCIAL piece!
As you might know that Microsoft has Acquired the Private Social Network company called Yammer”. Yammer only offers a piece of Collaboration (may be just 1/4th of what SharePoint offers) but unlike SharePoint it does offer some cool features to Socialize around the collaborated stuff. Microsoft today at WPC (World Wide partner Conference in Toronto) displayed a slide which caught an eye of many SharePoint enthusiast present in the room. The Slide clearly tells us about this new feature of SharePoint 2013.
Under SharePoint slide It says – SharePoint 15 will include new social networking capabilities and Yammer will power the next generation of SharePoint and Office 365 social experiences.
Clearly SharePoint 2013 or 15 whatever it is called will incorporate new Social capabilities which to my view makes it the most desired collaboration platform than any other available.
