Hello Learning SharePoint readers. As you know, we are committed to get you the latest and hottest rumor around the web about SharePoint 2013, so here it is what we got or heard from WPC (world wide partner conference)being held in Toronto. I say rumor because nothing has been officially declared by Microsoft.

So first about the SharePoint beta Release or Announcement – Microsoft is soon going to announce the launch of its two key products “Office 15 and “SharePoint 2013″. It is said that this could happen anytime during this month or even on Monday July 16 2012 (Source Twitter and ZDNET).Here are few sources that talk about the release date and that you would find Interesting.

Some of the features that SharePoint 2013 will include - In addition to the SharePoint 2013 Features that we Discussed earlier it is said that SharePoint 2013 or SharePoint 15 whatever will include the following features -

  • FAST Search Server – FAST server will no longer be a separate product in SharePoint 2013 but will be included in SharePoint Server.
  • Conversation layer – SharePoint 2013 will offer a conversation layer around SharePoint objects like docs, tasks,etc.
