SharePoint 2013 – Where is the Edit Control Block (ECB) menu for Items\Documents

If you are looking for the ECB (Edit control block) for your items\documents in SharePoint 2013 .. well we found it!

In your document library click on the “…” next to your document. This will open up a CallOut Window with a bunch of options beneath it.

Next click on “…” and you will see your Old ECB menu

CallOuts are only displayed for Certain Lists like Tasks,Documents etc. for other lists for example Custom Lists the CallOut does not show up but instead the actual ECB menu or call-up menu is displayed from the “…” link.
