SYNC Option by default is available for all documnet libraries (including the SkyDrive PRO Library) in a SharePoint 2013 site collection.
Now if for some reasons (like Corporate policy) you do NOT want users to work with documents in an offline mode, you can disable\remove the “SYNC” option from entire site collection by setting “Offline Client Availability” to NOin site’s “Search and Offline Availability” feature.
Before we look at the steps, lets be clear that setting the “Search and Offline Availability” to NO will remove the SYNC option in below documnet library screen.
Now let’s look at the quick steps –
1. Open the SharePoint 2013 site collection and navigate to Site Settings.
2. Under Search, select “Search and Offline Availability”
3. On Search and Offline Availability screen set Offline Client Availability to NO
4. This will remove the SYNC option from all document libraries in your site collection.
