Microsoft announced several new webparts that will be rolled out to SharePoint Team sites and Communication sites in coming weeks.
The new toolbox will also be expandable, and the Webparts will be categorized like they use to appear in older SharePoint Versions.
You can also search webparts from within the Toolbox (see the image at the end).
Overview of Webparts that were announced :
Group calendar – Enables a team to embed their Office 365 Group calendar on the home page, or any modern SharePoint page, of their team or communication site.
Planner – A new modern webpart to showcase plans within the SharePoint team and communication sites UI.
Document library (preview) – Easily add a window into files from document library on the home page of your team site, or from within a page or news article.
File Preview Webpart – There’s a new file viewer web part that can display previews of over 270 file types. You can embed content from anywhere—including Twitter feeds, YouTube videos and Amazon book recommendations. And you can surface content from more than 100 cloud and on-premises sources using the connector web part.
Yammer Conversations Webpart – In the coming weeks, Microsoft will be releasing the new, mobile-ready Yammer web part that surfaces relevant conversations so you can foster engagement on any SharePoint page.
Forms Webpart – To embed forms or surveys to your SharePoint Team site.
Power BI Webpart – Add interactive data visualizations to any SharePoint page.
Connector Webpart – This webpart will facilitate displaying data from a number of external sources on a Team sites. You can connect to third party services like Twitter or external RSS feeds.
Divider Webpart – To add divider between text I guess.
